In a cool environment without a heater, when the lights go out the heat in the grow room drops significantly – due to the link between humidity and temperature, when temperatures drop, humidity rises. This increase causes the water in the air to condense on the cooler areas and plant parts, This moisture can become trapped and provides the perfect breeding ground for diseases that can cost the entire crop. Using a heater when lights go out stops this condensing process from happening.

The simple but robust design allows growers to easily use and place in a busy grow room environment with the tilt function allowing the warm stream of air to be directed wherever it’s needed.

How does the lighthouse fan heater work?

This is a fan heater that works by pushing hot air out via an element and fan, being 3kw, it is more powerful than the majority of hobbyist heaters in the market and enters the ‘professional’ arena of shop space heaters.

A function without heater setting means the product can also be used as a simple fan to provide cool and circulating air.

The tubular design is considered ‘professional’ as it emulates gas heaters and is considered more efficient in both its output and the space that it takes up – leaving more room for plants.

How to use Lighthouse 3kw Greenhouse Heater

Plants are able to carry out their metabolic processes best in the range of 20 – 26&degC – try to maintain your grow room’s temperature at 25&degC during the ‘lights on’ phase to maximise your crops potential.

Try to maintain ‘lights off’ temperatures around 5&degC cooler than ‘lights on’ temps and never let the room drop more than 10&degC as this is when humidity swings occur that can negatively affect the health of your crop.

The heater will warm the surface you put it on – do not place it on flammable surfaces (like carpets or rugs)

Can be used in conjunction with the Wireless Thermostat (on 1500W setting) for absolute control over your garden’s temperature.
